Executive Director, On August 1, 2006, Q. Steve Ficklin assumed the position of Executive Director of Argenta CDC. Ficklin succeeds founding Executive Director Rosemary Hamel, who retired from the organization in July 2006. With 20 years experience in business management, residential construction, and non-profit fundraising, Ficklin oversees all aspects of Argenta CDC operations and services to ensure quality, sustainability, and success.
Before joining the staff of Argenta CDC, Ficklin worked for 4 years as Director of Donor Services at Heifer International. Prior to Heifer, Ficklin worked at United Parcel Service for 16 years in a range of leadership roles including business development, human resources, and operations management.
Ficklin is a member of the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce 2005 Leadership Class. He chairs the Economic Development Committee for the Little Rock Chapter of 100 Black Men, and he is a deacon at St. Mark Baptist Church. Ficklin is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity incorporated, and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Foundation Board.
Ficklin earned a Bachelors Degree in organizational management from Philander Smith College. He resides in Little Rock with his wife Brenda Hatton Ficklin and their two sons, Quintin Jr., 15, and Caleb, 8.
General Projects Manager, Matthew Klucher has a degree in mathematics and statistics from the University of Arkansas and worked in the fields of education and business management for 11 years. Klucher assists the Executive Director in financial planning and oversight of CDC programs, including property rehab and construction.
